Froggy 101 (WGGY-FM) Presents Guitars & Stars at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre on December 4, 2018 at 7:00PM. Show acts include country artists Rodney Atkins, Morgan Evans, Kip Moore, and Clare Dunn.

This acoustic show allows you to sit back, relax and enjoy the company of amazing artists and great country music all while helping out a great cause. Each artist will explain backgrounds to their songs, share stories, discuss influences, and perform their biggest hits. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit The Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger Danville.

Tickets start at just $15.00 plus fees. A limited number of VIP Packages will also be available for purchase. The VIP Package includes a guaranteed seat in the first 7 (or closer) rows, catered VIP Pre-Party, and a take-home photo with all artists.

Rodney Atkins

Rodney Atkins is an American country music artist who has had his foot in the country music industry since 1996.  He would play guitar at events and festivals while he was still in high school.  His first single, “In a Heartbeat”, which was released in 1997 spent one week on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Tracks.  His first successful single was “Honesty (Write Me a List)” which charted at number 4 on the country charts and number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100.  The song was the title track to his debut album “Honesty” which was released in 2003.  He returned in 2006 with the single “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)” which was his first single to reach number 1, which spent 4 weeks at the top of the Hot Country Songs chart.  This single was also the top country hit of 2006 according to Billboard Year-End charts.  His next single “Watching You” also spent 4 weeks as a number 1 hit, and was the top country song of 2007 on the Billboard Year-End charts.  Two other songs off that album became number 1 singles, making “If You’re Going Through Hell” the first country album to include four number 1 singles since Tim McGraw’s 2001 album “Set the Circus Down”.  The album received platinum certification from the RIAA for shipments of 1 million copies.  Atkins has released 2 more albums since then with “It’s America” in 2009, and “Take a Back Road” in 2011, which both had positive reviews.

Kip Moore

Kip Moore has become a superstar due to his debut album which he released in 2012.  Kip started playing guitar while he attended Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama.  In 2004, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee and 8 years later, signed a record deal with MCA Nashville.  His debut album, “Up All Night” debuted in 2012 and was the best-selling debut album by a male in 2012 and 2013.  The album was certified platinum by RIAA, and the single “Somethin’ Bout a Truck” off that album was certified 2x platinum by the RIAA.  Kip released 2 more albums, “Wild Ones” in 2015, and “Slowheart” in 2017.

Clare Dunn

Clare Dunn is an American country artist from southeast Colorado.  She signed with Universal Music Group Nashville and BMG.  Dunn released her debut single, “Get Out” at the end of 2013.  She then became the highest charting independent female artist on the Music Row Country Breakout chart in 10 years.  Dunn was listed by Sounds Like Nashville as one of the artists to watch in 2017 for country music.  She released 2 singles, “Move On” and “Tuxedo” from her self-titled EP and both charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay Charts.  Dunn released her fifth single “More” in June of 2018.

Morgan Evans

Morgan Evans is an Australian country music singer and songwriter. He released a self-titled debut studio album in March 2014, which peaked at number 20 on the ARIAAlbums Chart. At the 2014 CMC Music Awards he won the Oz Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Best Australian Video of the Year. He eventually relocated to Nashville where he signed with Warner Music Nashville in May 2017. This led to the release of his debut US single, “Kiss Somebody”. On December 8, 2017 he released his single, “I Do”, “about his now wife, Kelsea Ballerini. The song has become a huge hit at weddings in 2018.
