Turandot

Puccini’s final masterpiece, Turandot is based on the Greek Myth “the riddle of the sphinx”. Set in the ancient “Forbidden City” of Peking, Princess Turandot is haunted by the brutal rape and murder of her cousin. Because of this, Turandot has become an impossible riddle to any man who wishes to marry her. Finally, a brave Persian Prince wins her heart and in doing so restores peace to Peking. You will be swept away by the lavish costumes and sets while enjoying some of the best operatic voices of Europe.
