Born in Tennessee, Kane Brown was first attracted to R&B. After winning an 11th grade talent contest with a rendition of country singer Chris Young’s “Getting’ You Home” he began to post videos of himself singing covers of other popular country songs online. He quickly developed a fan base. His single “Used to Love You Sober” was a smash hit and he signed with RCA/Sony Music Nashville.
Trent Harmon holds the reigning title as American Idol. Less than one week after taking the title during the final season of American Idol, Trent entered Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, earning him a “hot shot debut” with coronation song “Falling,” which was written by Idol judge Keith Urban along with celebrated songwriters Dallas Davidson and Brett James. Already in the studio, the 25-year-old musician is eager to begin recording his self-described “Country-soul” album and recently released his debut single “There’s A Girl” on FOX and Friends’ Summer Concert Series. Critics raved week-after-week following each of Trent’s “vocally gifted” (LA Times) performances as he covered hits by Justin Timberlake, Sia, Parsan James, Percy Sledge and more.
A native of the small Louisiana town of Bastrop, Dylan Scott grew up with a passion for country music. Dylan met songwriter Charlie Craig on a trip to Nashville and recorded four songs with Craig as a producer. One song in particular caught the eye of record executives and he signed with Curb Records. Dylan recorded numerous songs with the help of famed producer and music label icon Jim Ed Norman, including “Making This Boy go Crazy” which went on to establish Dylan as an emerging country artist. Dylan is currently in the studio working on new music and you can catch his newest song “My Girl” on country radio.
Born and raised in Orange County, California Brett Young first developed a love of music by learning to play guitar. By 2007, he had released his first record, a self-titled EP. Two other albums followed. Brett left California and moved to Nashville, Tennessee releasing an EP titled Country in California. He attracted the attention of the Big Machine Label Group, which signed him for a record deal. A six-song EP was released in February 2016. His single “Sleep Without You” did well on both the country and pop charts.
You may have heard Ryan Follese performing with his band Hot Chelle Rae. You may not have known he also has a solo career as a country artist. Ryan grew up surrounded by country music; his parents were both songwriters for the likes of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. In 2016, after a few albums with his band, Ryan decided to get back to his country roots. He signed with Big Machine in June and released his first single “Float Your Boat” which was well-received by country radio.
