Rock of Ages

Don't Stop Believin'!

Set in LA’s famous Sunset Strip in 1987, ROCK OF AGES tells the story of Drew, a boy from south Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in LA to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. This five-time Tony Award nominated musical is even being made into a movie starring Tom Cruise. Don’t miss this worldwide hit that features a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching tunes including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “We Built This City,” “The Final Countdown,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Here I Go Again,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “I Want to Know What Love Is,” and more.

This special, one-night-only performance comes to the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on February 15th at 8:00 p.m.

PARENTAL ADVISORY (Ages 13 & Up):
Rock of Ages is a full-out, blast-off, hold-onto-your-hairspray celebration of the great rock music of the 80s, and you might be wondering – or, admit it, hoping – your kids will love it as much as you will. Well, we think they will, but you should know that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 13. We think teenagers will dig it, because it’s totally awesome, sort of like a music video brought to life, complete with hot dancers and blazing guitar licks. You know the maturity of your children, so we suggest you use your best judgment about whether or not the show is appropriate for them. Remember, if you do bring them, they’ll get to see you rockin’ like you did back in the day. Just so you know.
